​Accommodations
Our wedding will be in Kilauea on the North side of the island, near Princeville and Hanalei, above Secret Beach.  We will be staying in Hanalei and  we suggest you stay near us or in Princeville.  There are not a lot of hotels or resorts in the area, but there are a very large number of condos and houses for rent.

• Choose North Shore and then either Princeville or Hanalei.  Other towns are availabe as well.
• You will find a lot of great inexpensive options in Princeville in particular.  Many nice condos rent for   $100-150 /night 
• Look for condos with multiple, recent reviews by guests and make sure there a good amount of photos.  If the reviews say "Guest Comment Entered by Owner" do not trust those as much as those with star ratings entered directly by past guests.  Doesn't mean they are bad, just that the owner posted it - "highly recommended by owner" if you will.

Not inexpensive rooms (~$300/night), but the Hanalei Surfboard House is a very cool place with an ideal location across from the beach in Hanalei.

Just found this place and it looks like an intriguing low cost option for a couple:  Hanalei Bluff has amazing views, walkable to the beach at the St Regis, and a short drive to Hanalei and Princeville.  Starts at $83/night.  Some reviews HERE.

A few of the rentals she has are to the right- all very nicely appointed and modern:

Paulele  ($4200/week):  Very Nice 4 BR House available beginning 8/17. Just across the street from Hanalei Bay - an ideal location! 

Papio Place: 3BR/2BA $420/night, 7 night min.  Newly remodeled inside.  On a quiet cul-de-sac between beach and town.  Walking distance to everything.

Hanalei Ohana:  5BR/4.5BA $575/night, 7 night min.  New construction on the same cul-de-sac as Papio Place.

Hanalei Waterfall House: 3BR/3BA $360/night, 7 night minimum.  On the main road through town so a bit less expensive than the rest.  Has A/C (many in Hanalei do not).

The two nearest resorts are the The St. Regis Princeville Resortand theThe Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas, both Starwood properties.  The St. Regis is very swank and has an amazing view, pool, and beach...but they are quite proud of it!  

The Westin is a time share property with studio, 1 and 2 bedroom units.  It sits on a bluff in Princeville with nice pools and grilling areas, although it does not have any beach access or much of a view from most units.  They offer a great owner referral rate of $798 for 5 nights in a studio that inlcudes $185 toward an Avis car rental, and either $75 resort credit or 5k Starwood points - this is a time share offer but there is no presentation you have to attend.  If you are interested in this option email me at dfeeney@pga.com and I will try to work out the referral for you.

South Shore:

One great option is to split your trip between the north and south shores.  They are only an hour apart but each is quite unique!

If you can get a good price, the Grand Hyatt Kauai is spectacular!  

• Chase Hyatt Visa has a sign up bonus of 2 free nights at any Hyatt when you spend $1k in 3 months.  Pretty good deal considering rooms start around $400/night.
• Also available via Priceline if you wait until closer to the date.  Call me for more details of how to "work the system" a bit with Priceline bidding.
